Developmental psychologists have done some research about this topic. Sedentary kids tend to become sedentary adults and tend to develop an unhealthy lifestyle and are at an higher risk to become obese.
So that’s why an “yogeek” lifestyle becomes important: it’s fun and it’s healthy. It’s good for mind, body and spirit, regardless of age. This episode is a great example!

Inge- thank you! How perceptive is Marcia? She’s just fantastic. I wholeheartedly agree with you about sedentary kids. I think it really is a great problem that needs to be addressed. I see it all the time and it just breaks my heart while making me angry. You know the 1st programs to be cut at school are art programs and physical education (at least in the US) how non geeky is that?

elsie- i finally just listened, because i needed a time where i could sit down and listen 100%, no distractions, ect. SO AWESOME. Marcia sounds like the cutest thing ever, and i think the next best thing to actually getting to speak with her, would be for you to do have more conversations with her that you can put on this site. gave me some hope that i will have that kind of vitality when i’m that age and that health and fitness can be a lifelong journey
